CACAO POWDER

The fruit of the cacao tree contains small “beans” from which all chocolate is made. Cacao is incredibly nutritious – it is one of the world’s most potent sources of antioxidants and magnesium, and is filled with many other energy-boosting nutrients.

Cacao contains theobromine, providing a slow release of energy throughout the day for non-jittery natural energy.

It can also boost mood and happiness! Anandamide and phenylethylamine increase the feeling of love and happiness while blocking feelings of pain and depression.

Our cacao powder is made from only the finest varieties of certified organic cacao beans which have never been genetically modified. Our cold-pressing process first reduces most of the fat content of the cacao, allowing us to grind it down to create a fine, richly flavored, easy-to-use powder.

Through our low temperature process, we are able to preserve the delicate nutrients and true, natural taste of cacao. And, although most of the fat has been pressed out, our cacao powder still contains higher amounts of these healthy oils than other cacao powders, increasing its rich and decadent smoothness.

THEOBROMINE vs. CAFFFEINE

Unlike coffee, the caffeine content in cacao is extremely low and usually insignificant. The primary compound responsible for Cacao’s energizing properties is Theobromine.

Theobromine is a cardiovascular stimulant that has less impact on the central nervous system than caffeine. It is also a vasodilator and diuretic, and relaxes the smooth muscles including those in the respiratory system.

These properties have been shown in studies to promote healthy blood pressure and relaxation.

SUGGESTED USE & INDICATIONS

Add cacao powder to your favorite smoothie, yogurt and drinks to create healthy chocolate treats.

Create your own healthy hot chocolate by blending into warm or hot water, or plant-based milk of your choice (with an optional sweetener).
